Coating finishes
1. Polyvinyl Chloride coated wire, (commonly known as P.V.C. coated wire), is available in standard colours of either Black or Dark Green.
P.V.C. coated wire diameters are measured and specified by the core base Galvanized wire diameter.
Chain-Link Fabric - Service Duty
Wire diameters 2.5mm is used to manufacture Chain-Link fabric which meet the Australian Standards for Chain-Link fencing Australian Standard - Chain-Link Fabric Security Fences and Gates .
NB: The pitch is measured diagonally across the diamond and is only a nominal measurement
50mm pitch: is the standard pitch size of Chain-Link fabric and is used in most applications.
60mm pitch is also available in some sizes
Selvedge
Chain-Link fabric is available in 3 selvedge finishes:

| The wire is knuckled at both ends and is abbreviated as (KK). | The wire is knuckled at the bottom and twisted into a barbed selvedge at the top and is abbreviated as (KB). | The wire is twisted into a barbed selvedge at both ends and is abbreviated as (BB) |
